A Bit About Us
At Arizona Kids Think Too we see the value in everyone. Since inception in 2012, we continue to work together to create small changes.
Who We Are:
Arizona Kids THINK Too is a nonprofit organization serving disadvantaged youth and their families in the greater Phoenix area. In collaboration with schools, local businesses, and the ongoing support of Valley of the Sun United Way, we provide both educational and enrichment programming through academic tutoring, family education nights, early literacy interventions, leadership programming and our S.T.E.M. based leadership program B.O.L.T.S. (Building Our Leaders Through S.T.E.M.).
Who We Serve:
The majority of the youth we serve attend Title I schools with sparse programs. More than 80% of our students come from ethnic, minority backgrounds and many are classified as English Language Learners. Due to the challenges present in their underfunded schools and surrounding communities, our students have limited opportunities in their environment to acquire personal competencies that would enable them to achieve success.
Arizona Kids THINK Too strives to narrow the “achievement gap” by providing quality programs designed specifically to affect change in personal, social, academic, and community spheres. Our goal is to not only assist in academic endeavors, but to build resiliency skills necessary for our youth to increase their self-esteem, overcome obstacles, and have the opportunity to lead fulfilling, productive lives.
Mission Statement
Inspiring Arizona’s youth to exceed expectations through academic enrichment and character development.
